Global Goods Foundation

As a sole proprietorship, I started Global Goods with the goal to give all the profits to small educational and community based projects, primarily of a grassroots nature in the countries from which I source my items. Expenses are kept to a minimum as I want as much as possible to be spent on my projects. I travel inexpensively staying at small local guesthouses, use local travel methods (usually buses), and hand carry about 95% of the items home with me.

The, Global Goods Foundation was established in 2006 as a means to facilitate tax-deductible donations to our many worthy international projects. As international donations are not generally tax deductible unless the project is also registered as a non-profit in the United States, this facilitates tax-deductible donations.

While many people appreciate the profit from their purchases being invested in educational and community projects around the world, they also wanted a way to do more.  With the Global Goods Foundation, you may donate generally to the Foundation for all of our projects or specify a particular project for your donation. See “How to Donate” for more information.

Lists of local, national, and international recipients of our donations will be posted at the end of each year. As Global Goods needs to sell the inventory before donations can be made, the majority of monies are distributed at the end of the calendar year.
